about me

alex jabr, PhD & EMT-P

If you’re here, you likely want to make a CE course, and you’re considering investing in my Private CE Course Creation Consulting to make the process easier. But why should you trust me? What’s it like to work with me? Am I the best person to help you? Read on to learn more about me!

First things first

Why Should You Trust Me?

My friends and colleagues would describe me as down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and always excited to learn something new. I want to hear your crazy on-the-job stories and I’m unapologetically passionate about the importance of mental health and self-care, especially for those of us who have high-pressure jobs.

Over the past 7 years, I’ve built a thriving, 6-figure CE course business, Emergency Resilience. As a licensed paramedic, writer, educator, and psychology PhD, I’ve done my best to reinvent the continuing education market, offering CE course topics that are necessary but often overlooked.

I pride myself on teaching CE’s that shed light on outlier topics like death notifications, CPR-induced consciousness, intergenerational trauma, and ketamine therapy for first responders with PTSD.

From in-person instruction at conferences and private training to teaching thousands of students through my online courses—I’ve learned from it all. And I’m so excited to use my experience to coach you through YOUR next step in becoming a CEpreneur.

a slightly embarrassing story

why I founded CEpreneur

Early on in my career as a CE instructor, I had the drive and the vision but (unfortunately) lacked the entrepreneurial chops to avoid common pitfalls along the way. I’ve made mistakes that have cost me tens of thousands of dollars and TIME—our most precious, irreplaceable currency.

In fact, a huge, costly mistake is what brought me the idea for CEpreneur! After a few years of offering online CE’s, I wanted to revamp my website. I invested in a way-too-complex and unnecessarily expensive $20,000 site with an untrustworthy developer who never delivered.

As I was grieving the loss of all that money (and what felt like my dignity), I remember thinking how much easier it would have been to see the red flags had I had someone to mentor me. There aren’t that many solo CE providers out there, so I couldn’t even find a friend to talk shop with about the challenges I faced as a growing CEPreneur.

I founded CEpreneur because I want to be that mentor for others to turn to. I want you to have someone to guide you. Because your industry deserves to have your unique experiences, perspective, and skills in the form of more diverse, exciting CE offerings.

More than anything, I want to build a community that all independent CE instructors can tap into for support, collaboration, and advice.
