Let me teach you to Create, Accredit, and Promote your CE course creation business through 1:1 Private Consulting Packages and My CEpreneur Course Creation Academy & Community.

Hi, I'm Alex

I'm a 6-figure CEpreneur, And I'll Teach You To Create Your Own Fulfilling CE Business—Without The frustrating roadblocks.

I served as an EMT, paramedic, cardiac tech, EMS Coordinator, and EMS Educator for 20 years. I loved my job, but over time I observed a major gap in my training: how to give compassionate death notifications.

It was also slim pickings when it came to choosing required Continuing Education courses. I was uninspired by the dry topics and dated material. I wondered why CE courses had to be so BLAH? Especially when there were very important holes in training that could be filled through CE’s.

So I decided to do something about it. I founded my CE business, Emergency Resilience. I made my first online CE course, Death Communication®, to solve a problem in my field. But I could never have guessed how profitable and rewarding it would be!

When it comes to determining the length of time it takes to make a CE course, every course and each individual course creator will be unique.

Some of my courses have taken me a week to create and others I’ve struggled to finish for months! The timeline heavily depends upon your workflow, your processes, and your level of motivation.

Another factor is whether your course will be in-person (less time up-front to launch) or online (more time to film up-front but passive later). My courses are both online and in-person, so I have plenty of experience with both and can show you my tips and tricks for a faster launch!

There are hard costs to launch a course, but the actual price tag largely depends on you.

I can advise you on what to splurge on and what to skip, but here are some of the potential costs associated with launching a CE course for in-person trainings or as an online course.

There are hard costs to launch a course, but the actual price tag largely depends on you. Here are a few examples of things you might need:

  • Computer & Wifi
  • Content Design Tool (such as Canva)
  • Video camera or high-quality phone
  • Ring light
  • Microphone
  • Website domain
  • Learning Management System (such as Thinkific)
  • CE accreditation costs

CE Course Creation Academy

I’m also currently working on a CE Course Creation Academy online course that will be available in the near future.

Subscribe to my newsletter and I’ll notify you when CEPreneur Course Academy is open for enrollment!

This varies greatly depending on your industry and the accrediting agency.

While I have an organizational accreditation, which requires a bit more work, you can also choose to partner with another CEpreneur who is already accredited to accredit your course faster and with less red tape.

Generally speaking, accrediting your course means it requires that you build it according to the standards of your accreditation body.

Once your course is built, you will submit your accreditation application and provide all supporting documentation.

There will usually be a cost for accreditation (but sometime’s its as little as $0!). I’ll teach out how to find the best accreditation option for your specific needs so you don’t waste your time (or money) with denied applications.

I can support you as you navigate the accreditation process, including your application as well as reviewing your curriculum to ensure that it is CE-eligible per the requirements of your chosen accreditation agency.

There are many ways to approach CE course promotion—you need to find the right one for you!

Have a ton of industry connections? Social media, a website, in-person lectures or public speaking events, and crafty networking may be all that’s required to inspire buzz about your CE offerings.

As your business grows, you can also lean into more advanced marketing tactics, like search engine optimization, content marketing, an email list, and advertising.

We’ll work together to determine a realistic budget and discuss which promotion methods are the best fit for you.

We will also consider the time you personally have to dedicate to growing your business. Burnout is the enemy, so it’s important to pace yourself.

One of the main benefits of CE Course Creation Coaching is that you don’t have to re-invent the wheel and make the same mistakes I did when launching my courses.

I’ll walk you through my favorite course creation and promotion tools, my processes, my service partners who have enable my success, and lots of other wisdom I’ve collected over the years.

I will help you master the equipment and skills you need to shoot video CE courses. I’ll help you understand how to capture high-quality videos, edit your course or find an editor, and how to add your course to your chosen online course sales platform.

We can explore different ways to approach filming your course, like talking head, screencasts, and optional b-roll footage. Each of these has it’s own merits, but you’ll need to decide what’s best for you.

I also occasionally accept in-person filming clients, but availability is subject to my schedule. Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in in-person coaching and filming at my private studio. We can discuss availability, logistics, and costs if we’re a good fit!

No, you do not need a website to get started with CE course creation.

I didn’t have a website when I first started my CE business, Emergency Resilience. I learned the ropes through in-person, local CE course instruction. And it was a great experience! I often recommend this to people who want to try out CE instruction and see if they like it.

While a website is very beneficial for capturing more students who may wish to purchase your online CE courses, you don’t absolutely have to have one.

Most online learning management systems, like Thinkific and Teachable, provide an online space to sell your courses. We can chat through the pros and cons of having your own website and different Learning Management System platforms during your coaching sessions.

While I myself have profited greatly from CE course creation, I cannot guarantee that you will.

My private coaching services and the CEpreneur CE Course Creation Academy were created with the goal of educating you and giving you the absolute best chance at business success.

While I cannot guarantee you’ll see success like mine, I’ll be here to support you in any way I can!

This is impossible to predict. It depends on the demand for your expertise and many other factors like the quality of your courses, your ability to promote yourself and network, and also just plain luck!

I can tell you that my CE course creation business, Emergency Resilience, started out small. At first it was just a hobby that boosted my income. Then, it turned into a part-time job. Now, it’s my business, and much of it is passive income. I am free to explore other business opportunities and investments. I set my own schedule. It’s great!

Realistically, entrepreneurship rarely means immediate profit. Keep that in mind as you grow your own business so you don’t get discouraged!
